Dr. Rob Olson

Rob Olson, MD, FACOG

With my extensive knowledge and wide experience, I have helped set up many new programs as well as assisted in turning around a struggling program.

I am a part-time OB hospitalist, practicing in a community hospital in Bellingham, Washington. After 28 years in a successful solo OB/GYN practice, I was drawn to the hospitalist model because it allowed me to focus on labor and delivery. I see the impact of my choice in improved patient care and safety.

I received my medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed my residency at Los Angeles County Hospital/University of Southern California. I am board-certified and a fellow in the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and was the founding president of the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH).
